Saint-Tropez is a town located in the French Riviera, southern France. Saint-Tropez remains a small fishing village, and at the same time it is a very charming destination for famous people, beach and sea lovers, cultural events, heritage, history and art.

REEASONS TO GO

The amazing beaches

The market at the Place aux Herbes and the Art Museum

The relaxing islands of Porquerolles and Port Cros

TO AVOID

In August there is a bit more going on, but the prices go crazy.

BEST TIME TO GO

Many people visiting St. Tropez go there in the months of May and June, but September and October are also a smart choice. The regatta Les Voiles de St. Tropez takes place around that time and closes the summer season. If you are planning to go in August try to sail to the beautiful and relaxing Îles d'Hyères, just 80 km west of St. Tropez.

HOW TO GET THERE

Marseille Provence International Airport is located about 70kms from St Tropez. There are regular shuttles and buses between the town and the airport, leaving every hour and taking under 90 minutes. Visitors can also choose to rent a car, with the A8 motorway assuring fast and safe access to St Tropez.

The nearest train stations are located in Toulon and St. Raphael. Trains from Paris to these two cities take around 4 hours (www.sncf-voyages.com).

There are also ferries running between St Tropez harbour and Nice, Cannes, St Raphael and Saint Maxime (www.tlv-tvm.com).

TRAVELLING AROUND

Saint Tropez is easy to visit walking. The seaside is crowded with cafes and shops, narrow streets and alleys.
