There are principally six major islands to visit in Hawaii: Kauai, Oahu, Molokai, Lanai, Maui, and Hawaii´s Big Island. Each of them has its unique atmosphere and offers its own adventures, activities, and sightseeing experiences.
The island of Oahu, home to the state capital of Honolulu, has amazing rainforests and hiking trails together with the famous Waikiki Beach.
A great number of natural wonders of the Islands are located on the Neighbour Islands, such as Waimea Canyon on Kauai, Haleakala on Maui and Hawaii Volcanoes National Park on the Big Island of Hawaii.
BEST TIME TO VISIT
The weather in Hawaii can be very different over short distances. The "wet" season, with cooler temperatures and more rain, runs approximately from October to March, and the "dry" season, with warmer temperatures and less rain goes from April to September.
HOW TO GET THERE
Honolulu International Airport (HNL) on Oahu is the major airport and serves as the access point for most of Hawaii's visitors. From there, there are several connecting flights to the Neighbour Islands
TRAVELLING AROUND
